Paris born, New York based producer (Jean-Luc) Sinclair 808 a seasoned sound designer and composer, Sinclair has collaborated with some of the most influential artists of his time, from Trent Reznor to The Scissor Sisters, Zach De La Rocha from Rage Against the Machine and co-producing an album with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics for the Korean born artist and actor Jihae.

Sinclair is a Faculty Member at New York University's Music Technology Department and Berklee College of Music's Electronic Production and Design division and has also lectured worldwide in Brazil, Spain and Germany among others.

Sinclair has also scored feature lengths films such as the acclaimed documentary “Small Small Thing”, “Gallery Kay” and “Remedy”.

Having completed one full length record - in collaboration with INgrooves Publishing and Here & Now Recordings - Sinclair 808 is working on the next album: “Eyes That Never Sleep” featuring the Murder Bot inspired song Shadows In My Room.

In addition to creating plugins for Ableton, Jean-Luc Sinclair is a publisher author. Principles of Game Audio and Sound Design is a comprehensive introduction to the art of sound for games and interactive media using Unity.

His sound is inspired by many an 80s horror film soundtrack citing John Carpenter as a major influence. His work with Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails clearly inspired him too !
